Bank customers to pay N6.98 for each USSD transaction



Cell Community Operators (MNOs) and Deposit Cash Banks (DMBs) have agreed to cost prospects utilizing unstructured supplementary service knowledge (USSD) service a flat price of N6.98 for every transaction.

In a joint assertion launched by the Central Financial institution of Nigeria (CBN) and the Nigerian Communications Fee (NCC) on Tuesday, the brand new prices replaces the present per billing construction.

Telcos not too long ago introduced their plan to droop USSD companies over N42 billion debt owed by monetary service suppliers. However Isa Pantami, minister of communications and digital economic system, had requested the telcos to halt their strike.

In line with the joint assertion, Pantami chaired a gathering of key stakeholders to debate an amicable decision within the curiosity of most of the people.

It was resolved that efficient March 16, USSD companies for monetary transactions carried out at DMBs and all CBN – licensed establishments might be charged at a flat price of N6.08 per transaction.
