Chris Ngige, the Minister of Labour and Employment, has dismissed claims that President Muhammadu Buhari has marginalized folks of the Southwest.
Ngige stated Igbos have held delicate positions just like the Inspector Common of Police, Secretary to the Authorities of the Federation, Finance and Financial Planning Minister, amongst others.
He stated regardless of holding delicate positions in authorities, Igbo folks have failed to make use of their place to develop the Southwest.
Talking in Anambra State on Monday, the Minister charged folks of the Southeast to cease blaming the president for his or her failures within the Southeast.

He stated: “I’m not saying that giving delicate positions to Igbo below Buhari regime isn’t good.
“I’m saying that Igbo folks have held delicate positions such because the Inspector Common of Police, Secretary to the Federal Authorities, Finance and Financial Planning Minister, and so forth, however didn’t use the positions for the welfare of Igbo nation.
“Igbo folks within the Diaspora are offended with Nigeria due to the type of feedback emanating from the South East over Buhari’s appointments.

“It isn’t true there isn’t a Igboman among the many service chiefs. The Chief of Defence Employees, Fortunate Onyenucheya is an Igbo. Chibuike Amaechi is an Igbo. It isn’t even correct to inform our brothers from the South-South that they aren’t Igbo folks.

“They fought on the aspect of the Igbo throughout the civil conflict, they usually suffered casualties. Immediately, we’re telling them they aren’t Igbo. It isn’t good.”
