A YouTube channel dwr posted an Unreal Engine 5 version of a prior Unreal Engine 4 project from Lewis Fiford in January 2020. With Unreal Engine 5’s default assets, dwr was able to set things up and put our hero through his paces in a full-fledged cityscape with help from the project itself.

The Matrix Awakens UE5 demo has been put to good use by tinkerers, and the Spider-Man demo is a great illustration of the engine’s flexibility and forward compatibility. There’s some jitteriness, especially when web-swinging and with impacts, but Spider-Man performs as you’d anticipate.
